About ECOS
The Ethics and Compliance Online System (ECOS) is the new ethics review infrastructure that is co-developed by NHG Health and SingHealth. Launched on 10 May 2024, the ECOS system replaces the previous NHG Health ROAM system.
INTRODUCING THE ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE ONLINE SYSTEM (ECOS)
The Ethics and Compliance Online System (ECOS) is the new ethics review infrastructure that is co-developed by NHG Health and SingHealth. Launched on 10 May 2024, the ECOS system replaces the previous NHG Health ROAM system.
The ECOS system is intended to support research enterprise functions across the research lifecycle from Study Initiation to Completion, allowing IRBs, institutions, and researchers to have a one stop oversight of research related activities.
ECOS is now available with the following modules:
Institutional Review Board (IRB) Module
Researcher Minimum Training Module
Clinical Research Management System (CRMS)
Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) (NHG Health-only) Module
Compliance (Deviation / Non-Compliance & Serious Adverse Event) Module
These remaining ECOS modules will be launched progressively:
Compliance (PI Self-Assessment Form) Module
Standing Database (SDB) (NHG Health-only) Module
Monitoring Module
Audit Module
ECOS End-User Support Portal
The ECOS End-User Support Portal is intended to provide the NHG Health and National University Health System (NUHS) Research Communities, our Partner Institutions and Industry collaborators, with pertinent information about the ECOS system, and how researchers may use the ECOS System to prepare and submit their research ethics applications to the NHG Health Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB).
